University of Ghana Hospital donates computers

Accra, May 5, GNA – The University of Ghana, Legon Hospital Welfare Association on Wednesday donated a Dell Computer with accessories and a colour printer valued at 15 million cedis to the University’s branch of the Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU).

Mr Samuel Dwase, Chairman of the Hospital Welfare Association, who made the presentation, said it was in recognition of the support TEWU provided during their agitation for the Additional Duty Allowance. Mr Dwase said when the allowance was paid the members decided to levy themselves to purchase the computer.

Mr Peter Lumor, Chairman of the Local branch of TEWU, thanked the Association for their kind gesture and said the Union was in dire need of a computer to computerise their accounts.
