Teenage Eid celebrant not dead – Police

Police in the Ashanti Region have rejected media reports that the seventeen year old Eid Celebrant, Osman Abdul Karim , who was shot during Eid Mubarak has died as false.

The poor boy was shot on Tuesday night during the celebration of flagship programme dubbed ‘’ Gangara’’ by Muslim youth as part of the just ended Ramadan fast entertainment activities at Melcom formerly known as ‘on the run near Manhyia Palace.

Speaking to the Manhyia Divisional Police Commander Chief Superintendent Kwaku Buah, who confirmed the news to XYZ News, explained that Osman was shot 7:30 PM .

According to him, he was rushed to nearby Manhyia hospital before he was referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) ,where he is recuperating now.

Responding to a question, C/Supt Buah told XYZ NEWS that it is never true that the boy is dead.
