Volta natural allies of NPP – Dep. Minister

Adidome, May I, GNA – Mr Stephen Asamoah Boateng, a Deputy Minister of Information, has observed that the people of the Volta region are natural allies of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), because their history indicates that like the NPP, they cherish liberty and freedom.

He made the observation during an interaction with Assembly-members, workers and opinion leaders in the North Tongu District at Adidome on Thursday during his tour of the Volta Region.

Mr Boateng said: ” It is not that the Volta Region does not like us, it may be that we do not break down the barriers hard enough”. He said it is therefore imperative for the NPP to find out why the region seemed to be opposed to the party adding that “It is up to the NPP to assure and convince them”.

Mr Boateng gave the assurance that the NPP government would protect the interest of the region and said “If you vote for the NPP, I will like it, but it is our duty as government to get to you”.
