One good turn surely deserves another has never been said of a flogging, but it seems when Bishop Daniel Obinim is involved, the rules are inverted.
The teenage couple at the centre of Daniel Obinim’s flogging scandal have welcomed a baby.
The couple welcomed the baby earlier this month. News of the birth of their baby surfaced after they paid a visit to Daniel Obinim in his church, the International God’s Way Church, for the blessing for their baby.
In 2016, Obinim was embroiled in yet another scandal after he flogged two teenagers during a church service after it emerged that they had had premarital sex which led to conception.
The case was reported to the police where there is an ongoing case against the self-styled bishop.
Despite widespread condemnation of the act, the two teenagers, who were the victims of the flogging, praised Daniel Obinim for ‘punishing them for wrongdoing.’ The sex of the baby is unclear as well as its name.
