Begoro rehabilitation centre receive gift

Begoro, April 23, GNA – The Osiem Circuit Women Fellowship of the Methodist Churchhas donated a quantity of items worth over 500,000 cedis to the Begoro Salvation Army Rehabilitation Centre to cater for the inmates.

The items included key soap, banana, oranges, rice, sugar, beans and gari and were donated as part of the activities to mark the annual celebration of the women Fellowship in the town. Making the presentation at Begoro on Thursday, Rev. Edward Bamfo, Begoro Methodist Minister said it was the desire of the church to assist the poor and the needy in the society to develop. He urged the authorities of the centre to use the items to benefit the inmates.

Major Edward Addison, in-charge of the centre, received the items and promised to use them judiciously. She appealed to other churches and Non Govenmental Organisations (NGOs) to come to their aid in diverse ways.
