Coconut Guest House owner killed in Kumasi

A 78 year old pensioner has been murdered in cold blood on Monday June 12, 2017 by an unknown person in his own guest house Coconut Guest house.

Mr. Anthony Owusu Adomako, was relaxing in the corridor when the unknown armed person stabbed him to death around 11:pm at Adiebeba, a suburb of Kumasi.

One of the workers (name withheld), was asked by the suspected murderer who pointed a knife at her to direct him to the place his boss was relaxing.

Mr Adomako who was rushed to the hospital by his staff was pronounced dead on Tuesday June 13, 2017 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

The granddaughter of the deceased, Victoria Hayford speaking to Ultimate News explained that her grandfather told her about the incident on phone early hours of today.

“I was called by the police to KATH to see my grandfather, upon reaching there, I saw grandfather in a pool of blood lying helplessly on the bed. I was shocked when few hours later, the doctors told me grandfather could not be operated on and that he has passed on,” she cried.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command visited the scene after the incident was reported and has commenced investigations.

The regional Public Relations Officer (PRO) ASP Juliana Obeng in an interview with Ultimate News said a team of investigators sent to the scene are yet to come out with their report.

She promised the family that the police will make sure justice is served to the deceased.

She also urged managers and owners of recreational centers to make security their priority saying it aids the police in their investigations.
