Taxi driver stabbed to death at Sowutuom

A taxi driver believed to be in his mid-20s has been found dead in his vehicle Monday morning around the Pentecost University in Accra.

The victim whose name has been given as Charles Amoah is believed to have been stabbed to death by some unknown assailants.

The incident has sparked fear among residents in Sowutuom and its surrounding towns.

Residents told Starr News’ Daniel Nii Lartey that the assailants hired the taxi driver and in the course of their journey they attempted to snatch the car from the driver. The taxi driver, the locals alleged, may have stopped the car and threw the key into the bush.

His action could have angered the assailants who stabbed him and made away with his car battery and money he had on him.

The Sowutuom Police is currently investigating the incident.
