Ensuring a credible poll is responsibility for all – Bishop Agogo

Ensuring a peaceful and credible poll is a civic responsibility that every patriotic citizen is expected to play.

Bishop Dr Fred Agogo, Commander, International Church Call, said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at AkimOda in the Birim Central Municipality.

Speaking on the need to avoid “threatening mayhem and using violence to settle political scores”, Bishop Agogo said “this would help to facilitate the democratic development of the country.

He said nation-building needs the collective effort of the citizenry to achieve the required impact, adding that, we must resolve to do everything possible in this regard.

Bishop Agogo, former Principal of the Bible College of Ghana, appealed to the public to abide by the principles and values that have sustained national peace, saying, Ghana has vibrant politicians whose roles and activities can always sustain the peace of the country.

He said there is the need to inculcate in the youth the spirit of patriotism so that they would always have the country at heart.
