Ghanaians must change their sexual habit

Techiman (B/A) April 21, GNA- Mr. Patrick Nyarko, Techiman Municipal Coordinator of the Ghana Social Marketing Foundation (GSMF) has called on Ghanaians to change their sex behaviour towards sex to avoid contracting HIV/AIDS.

He appealed to people to accept the campaign embarked upon by the Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC) and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to do away with the spread of the pandemic.

Mr. Nyarko was addressing a two-day workshop for peer groups of the Foundation organized, for hawkers, iced water and kenkey sellers and fish mongers on the need for them to abstain from casual sex.

He urged the Hawkers Empowerment Programme to be business-like and concentrate on their work and avoid being influenced by men. Mr. Augustine Kumi, popularly known as Flamingo, Chairman of the Techiman branch of the Foundation advised girls not to be deceived into casual sex.
