Host of Accra-based Asempa Fm late afternoon political Show, Kojo Asare Baffuor Acheampong (KABA) has revealed that prior to the death of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama, about four of his colleagues were almost attacked in similar fashion at Denkyira Boase in the Central region.
According to him, the four comprising 2 Warrant Officers 1 and 2 Warrant Officers 2 escaped lynching from the irate residents of Denkyira-Boase mostly illegal miners using back to back tactics to escape with a passing pick-up.
He revealed that all four had gone there at the instance of an unnamed lieutenant who replaced Captain Mahama as the platoon commander who returned to Accra after two months in the area to write a promotional examination.
Kojo Asare Baffuor Acheampong said after their narrow escape, the Military High Command got wind of it and summoned all four to Accra where they were put in guardroom and only released after Captain Mahama had been gruesomely murdered by the irate residents.
