Kumasi flooded after heavy rains

Some residents in the Kumasi metropolis were left stranded and rendered homeless when their homes were submerged after an hour’s downpour late Sunday evening.

Most of the victims had to put up with relatives and friends for the night.

The affected areas include Dichemso, Airport Roundabout, Asawase, and particularly areas around the Aboabo drain.

Residents have called on government to reconstruct the bridge at Aboabo to curb the perennial flooding.
