Ghana needs your prayers – Kofi Buah pleads with Muslims

The Member of Parliament for Ellembelle Constituency of the Western Region, Hon Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah has appealed to Muslims in the country to pray earnestly for Ghana as they are in the holy month of fasting (Ramadan).

The Lawmaker made the appeal to the Muslims when he paid a courtesy call on the Odikro(Caretaker) and people of Kamgbunli Islamic community in the Ellembelle District on Saturday, June 3, 2017

He urged Muslims in the community and various part of Ghana to use the holy month of Ramadan to pray for Ghana and Ellembelle District especially in these “hard times”. “Pray for the president of this country, Ghanaians and myself,” he said.

Hon Armah Kofi Buah added that it is a high time the misconceptions that Muslims are boisterous and violent be cleared and the onus lie on the leaders of the Muslim community to educate their youth on it.

On the development of Kamgbunli Islamic Senior High School (UBAISH SHS), Hon Armah Buah pledged to continue the establishment of the science laboratory being done by the GNPC. “Right now my position at first has been reduced, so I’m going to lobby the central government and the private sector for the establishment of the school’s hostel”.

On the brouhaha over mob attacks in the country, Hon Armah Buah pointed his worry on the tragic brutality of Captain Adam Mahama and registered his deepest condolence to the family.

He said this country is gradually becoming a lawless state. “Laws are not working in this country, no justice, this country needs serious prayers because what is happening is unconstitutional”, he added.

He also said that over-politicization of the state institutions must be stopped. “I don’t understand the reason why NDC comes to power workers laid off and also NPP comes to power workers to suffer the same trend, these phenomena must stop for good”, he charged.

During the visit, Hon Armah Buah who was the former Petroleum Minister in the erstwhile John Mahama administration donated bags of rice and sugar to be distributed to all the Zongo communities within Ellembelle District.
