We would’ve gone ‘man to man’ with Denkyira boys – Angry Ex-Soldier

A retired military office has said residents of Denkyira-Obuasi should be ”thanking God” Ghana is no longer under the rule of military dictatorship.

According to Ex Warrant Officer One (W.O 1) Samuel Asante, the entire Denkyira township would have been reduced to wreckage if the military were in charge of the country.

Speaking to abusuafmonline.com, angry W.O 1 Asante said “even you speaking to me now would not have dared step your foot into this barracks.”

“I am very angry talking to you now and I really wish we were in charge of this country and not those bloody civilians,” he charged.

The Warrant Officer was speaking in reaction to the gruesome murder of late Captain Maxwell Mahama.

He added, “democracy has come to destroy our disciplined society and I think the people of Denkyira should be thanking God so much…how dare a civilian raise a finger against a service man,” he asked angrily.

“It would have been a different story all together, I’m telling you. The entire military force would have gone man to man with those street boys and we will see who is man,” he charged.

W.O 1 Samuel Asante who burst into tears said “my friend I can’t talk to you again, it’s alright…you can’t leave now, but advise your listeners.”
