Accra, April 14, GNA- Parliament on Wednesday ended a two-day meeting convened to conclude outstanding businesses of the First Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Third Parliament.
The house adjourned on March 12, this year, but had to come back on April 13 to extend the State of Emergency in the Tamale Municipality and the Yendi District and approve various loan agreements. Parliament is expected to resume business on June 9, during which the Ministers of Roads and Transport, Interior, Health, Parliamentary Affairs, among others, are expected to answer various questions about their Ministries.
In all about 104 questions would be answered.
The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Felix Owusu Adjapong, is expected to provide an answer as to when the Ghana Parliamentary Register, 1997-2000 Session, prepared by the Office of Parliament would be ready.
Mr. Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, the Minister of Interior would also provide an answer as to when he would lay before Parliament, the annual report of the Ghana Police Service as required by law.
He would also provide an answer to a member’s question who wants to find out if it was true that architects and engineers have confirmed the gradual collapse of the Usher Fort Prison and if this led to the removal of inmates and prisoners from the Fort.
