Another renowned Kumasi-based journalist dead

The News Editor of Kumasi-based Ashh Fm operated by Kencity Media Alex Amoako is dead.

News of his death went viral on social media before his family confirmed it in mainstream media compelling managers of the station to begin soft programming in his honour.

Until his sudden demise which occurred on Friday, May 26 2017 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), he was also the Marketing Manager of the station owned by New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency Kennedy Agyepong.

The cause of death as at press time was not immediately known but close sources revealed it occurred after a short illness and was admitted at the facility for medical attention.

Before his demise, he was tipped to contest for position of Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA)

The body has since been deposited at the deposited at Hospital morgue pending autopsy.

Members of the inky fraternity in the Ashanti region are grief-stricken especially close associates of the deceased considering how he conducted himself in the media landscape.
