West Africa leaders urged to serve their people

Koforidua, April 11, GNA – The General Secretary of the International Easter School of Rosicrucian Fellowship, Mr Samuel Kwaku Boateng, observed that, there was political tension in some countries in the West African Sub-region.

He said the situation was due to the fact that members of governments of those countries had become “too materialistic and selfish in their approach to issues instead of serving their people.”

Mr Boateng was speaking at the end of a three-day Christian fellowship organised by the non-denominational fellowship, under the theme “Universal Friendship”, in Koforidua on Sunday.

Three hundred delegates attended the school from Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria and Cote d’lvoire.

Mr Boateng said the resurrection of Jesus was an “inner experience and not an outward expression” and appealed to Christians to use the occasion to overcome greed, cheating, bribery, dishonesty and corruption that affected development.

He also explained that the Easter School was to enable members of the fellowship to learn more about the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus and the effect on humankind.

Mr Boateng said the Rosicrucian Fellowship was not related to any Rosicrucian Order but “is a pure Christian organization which believes that Jesus Christ died to save mankind.” 11 April, 04
