“One killed at ‘fire’ festival…20 others injured”, is the lead headline of the Times. The accompanying story says one person was killed and 20 others were wounded following different incidents during the celebration of the annual “Bugum” fire festival in the Tamale municipality.

In another front page story, the Times reports Mr Justice Charles Hayfron-Benjamin, a Supreme Court judge, as saying that a judge should not look at the tribal marks of an accused person or ”the coat he wears” before passing judgement on him.
