AMA postpones Saturday’s clean-up campaign

Accra April 6, GNA – The Accra Metropolitan Assembly has postponed the third and crucial segment of the clean-up campaign scheduled for Saturday, April 10, in view of the fact that it would be a Holy Saturday. This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Mr Stanley Nii Adjiri Blankson, Mayor of Accra.

The statement said the grand finale, which, shall be the third segment of the major clean-up exercise would be held on Saturday, April 17, from 0500 hours to 1400hours.

It said as usual, the post office siren would be blown for ten minutes of every hour from 0500hours to 0800hours.

“We trust that you will troop out in your numbers with the same zeal and enthusiasm you showed in the initial campaign so as to climax the much expected success to the credit of our social lives,” the statement said.

It said AMA wishes to thank the public for their continual support and the Mayor wishes all residents of Accra a joyous Easter holiday and reminded the public that, “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”
