J.B murder: May 16 set for jury selection

An Accra High Court has set 16 May 2017 for selection of jurors for the trial of Daniel Asiedu and Vincent Bossu, accused of murdering Abuakwa North MP JB Danquah-Adu.

On 9 February 2016, the late MP was stabbed to death in his room at his Shiashie residence. The suspects have denied murdering the late legislator.

Meanwhile, the family of the late J.B Danquah-Adu has petitioned President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to launch fresh investigations into the circumstances leading to his death.

The family has also disclosed they will open a petition book to seek two million signatures across the country from Members of Parliament, Ministers of State, chiefs, politicians as well as any person who wants the president to conduct a fresh probe into the matter.

They further called on government and the police to apply more fervour in their pursuance of the truth and bring the real culprits to justice.
