Stop impersonating Otiko – MoGCSP

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has cautioned fraudsters using the identity of sector minister Otiko Djaba for scams to cease immediately.

According to the ministry, the culprits will be prosecuted if arrested.

A letter from the Chief Director of MoGCSP, Kwesi Armo-Himbson, noted that the “Hon. Minister is not providing any persons jobs via Facebook or any social media platform”.

The ministry said it had alerted the respective security agencies about the criminal activity and urged members of the public to be vigilant and report to the Ghana Police Service anyone who contacts them on behalf of the minister through social media offering jobs and other related opportunities.

“Accordingly, anyone who deals with or pays any sum of money to any person does so at his/her own risk. We kindly request all victims of this scam to report it to the police,” the disclaimer added.
