He described the murder of the Sayeegu Chief and his three other family members as highly unfortunate.

The Bunkpurugu Chief said that he had personally intervened earlier to settle the matter between the Sayeegu and Sambiluk communities at his palace few days ago, and did not understand why the other faction could cruelly ambush and kill the Sayeegu Chief and his people on the farm.

According to Chief Alhaji Nasinmong, the mater had been reported to the Northern Regional Police Command which had dispatched personnel to enforce law and order in the area. Meanwhile, the Northern Regional Minister and Chairman of the Regional Security Council, Salifu Saeed has rapidly responded to the situation by sending reinforcement to the area to avert any spillover.

He called for a ceasefire and urged the two feuding Bimoba clans to resort to dialogue to resolve their grievances.
