The Zongo Youth Month team was hosted by another significant Zongo personality, the Member of Parliament for Tamale North, Alhaji Alhassan Suhyini.
The former media personality thanked the group for visiting him and expressed how impressed he was with the initiative. He said the “motive behind the celebration is worthy of support”.
The honorable member took the opportunity to interact with the group indicating that “nothing succeeds in Ghana without Zongo support” be it “music and entertainment, business politics” and more.
He emphasized the need for “as many people as possible on board”.
He further urged the group to ensure their efforts are “distinct” and “attractive”, noting that “passion alone is not enough” to successfully embark on such initiatives.
He advised the team to involve various stakeholders and create a completely interactive month long celebration, and encouraged Zongo youth to “get out of their comfort zones and make progressive friends from other communities”.
The group presented him with the Zongo Youth Month branded t-shirt.
He made a donation in support of the course, and reiterated the need for the group not to relent on their efforts.
