Labour holds forum on jobs ahead of May day

Organized Labour will today (Wednesday, April 26, 2017) hold a forum on its theme for this year’s May Day celebration: “Ghana @60: Mobilising For Ghana’s Future Through The Creation Of Decent Jobs.”

The forum, which will take place at Mensvic Grand Hotel, East Legon, Accra, will precede national and regional parades to celebrate workers in Ghana and millions around the world on May Day which falls on the coming Monday.

In a press statement issued by the Secretary General of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Dr. Yaw Baah, for Organised Labour, it said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be the special guest of honour at the national parade to be held at the Independence Square (Black Star Square) in Accra on May 1, 2017 from 8:00am to 1:00pm.

“Regional May Day Parades will also be held in all the ten regions of Ghana. All working people of Ghana are invited to join the celebration. To the Working People of Ghana we say Ayekoo,!” the statement said.
