Names of 212 persons nominated by President Nana Akufo-Addo to occupy the position of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive (MMDCEs) across the country have been confirmed.
At a press conference in Accra Wednesday to announce the names of the MMDCEs, the Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Hajia Alima Mahama said the President may no longer appoint MMDCEs in future but will rather ensure they are elected.
Meanwhile, the list of the nominees is yet to be delivered to the various District Assemblies.
