Trust selfless, incorruptible Akufo-Addo to deliver – Okyehene

The Okyehene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin has reposed high confidence in Nana Akufo-Addo’s presidency to consign poverty to oblivion.

He is trusting the president to prioritize education to conquer poverty, which is high in the Ghanaian society.

“That every child born will have a desk to write on, a chair to sit on, and a good teacher to learn from,” he said to Winston Amoah, host of TV3’s Hot Issues on Saturday when asked one thing he would want President Akufo-Addo to be remembered for “We are looking forward for the physical change that Ghanaians are looking for. So by the end of his term, whether he does one or two, he will be able to display the legacy of his achievements,” he stated.

President Nana Akufo-Addo contested for the presidency three consecutive times to be successful in December 2016.

Recounting that President Akufo-Addo is a descendant of astute politicians with rich political history, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin maintained, “this president has earned his right to be in the Flagstaff House”.

When asked what character traits of the president would make him an achiever, the Okyehene replied, “He is selfless, he is talking about poverty all the time, he is very generous, and he is not corrupt.”

The chief who is related to the president, narrated that Mr. Akufo-Addo is well known in the family as someone who will not hesitate to point out when one goes wrong.
