PLAYBACK: Newsfile on JoyNews

It was the second week in a row without a representative of the governing party on the show as panelists discussed a wide range of trendy political, social and economic issues in the past week on JoyNews’ current affairs program, Newsfile.

Panelists Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, Kofi Bentil, George Loh and Dr. Emmanuel Akwetey took turns to analyze a number of issues including the Akufo-Addo-led administrations assessment of its 100 days in office, an EOCO probe into dealings of businessman and brother of former President John Dramani Mahama, Ibrahim Mahama, the President’s initiative for creating jobs – Planting for food and jobs, as well as a drive by a number of institutions to pile pressure on government to end galamsey.

Also, panelists discussed a call by the minority in parliament for a probe into a Government of Ghana bond citing a conflict of interest situation on the part of Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.
