Thousands of revelers celebrate Easter holiday at beaches

Ghanaians climaxed the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ with recreational activities as more than 1000 of revelers thronged the Accra beach also known as the ‘borla’ beach to celebrate the Easter holiday on Monday April 17, 2017.

Apart from swimming, other activities the revelers engaged in include foundry sand, acrobatics, dancing, horse riding, eating and drinking competitions, football among others.

Scores of families also gathered to celebrate the Easter festivity at the beach whiles lifeguards were in the sea to enforce swimming limits in order to prevent people from drowning.

The weather was perfect as many committed themselves to swimming and relaxing. The majority preferred to switch between football and group games in the water while trying to maintain their balance in the high waves
Security was also beefed up to maintain calm and sanity at the beach.
