Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has lauded the efforts of the members of the Change for Zongo Youth for being proactive toward bringing change in the lives of youths in Zongos across the country.
The Vice President made this known when the Zongo Youth Month team called on him at his Kanda residence in Accra.
He pledged his support for the Zongo Youth Month celebration and encouraged the team to keep up the good work of telling the Zongo story.
The team presented him with a Zongo Youth Month branded T-shirt.
The leader of the team, Zakiyu Iddris Tindannayil explained the significance of the celebration, stating that it aims at telling the Zongo story and celebrating change makers within Zongo communities.
He expressed the group’s appreciation of the Veep’s endorsement, as well as that of many significant persons, who have participated in the Zongo Youth Month.
