Former president John Dramani Mahama has wished Ghanaians a blissful Easter and urged the public to seek strength through the death of the Messiah Jesus Christ.
In a brief but touching message on his IG page, the former president said, “Easter offers great opportunities for us to reflect on the death and crucifixion of Jesus Christ”.
A portion of the message charged Ghanaians to indulge in the season in a way that benefits individuals regarding the release of grace in abundance to the world via the Saviour’s death and resurrection.
“Let’s take advantage of the moment to renew our strength with the resurrection [of Jesus Christ]. Happy Easter to you all, [I] wish you God’s blessings. #JDM,” his post read.
The former president had earlier this week assumed responsibility for the loss of opposition Party NDC during the 2016 general election at a meeting with past appointees.
He, nevertheless, enjoined them to stick together and defend the legacy he left with his administration during his tenure in office.
