Long queues at Registration Centres in Kwahu

Mpraeso (E/R), March 16, GNA- There were long queues of eligible voters at some of the 53 registration centres at Obo, Mpraeso, Atibie and Nkawkaw in the Kwahu South District on Tuesday morning. Most of the people interviewed complained about the slow procedure of the exercise and appealed to the Electoral Commission to increase the number of personnel at the registration centres.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, Mr. Konadu Kankam, the Kwahu South District Electoral Officer, however, said adequate registration materials had been distributed to all the registration centres and assured that all eligible voters would be registered in the district before the end of the exercise.

He appealed to all political parties to educate their supporters to register.

Meanwhile, only the agents of the NDC and NPP were present at all the registration centres in the district.
