LIVESTREAMING: ‘NewsFile’ on JoyNews

This week’s edition of NewsFile throws the spotlight on a number of trendy political and social issues including vigilantism, galamsey and corruption in Ghana’s Parliament.

The Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, has been given a stern warning by the Speaker of Parliament to “go and sin no more” following his allegations of corruption against some members of the Appointments Committee of Parliament.

Elsewhere, the opposition National Democratic Congress is calling for the heads of the various security apparatus in the country after members of Pro-NPP vigilante group, Delta Force stormed a court house in the Ashanti Region and freed 13 of their members who were standing trial.

Meanwhile pressure continues to mount on government as more organizations join in the fight against galamsey operations in the country even as the Chinese Mission in Ghana calls for fair reportage on the menace in Ghana.
