Robbers shoot former Ashaiman MCE in the eye

The former Municipal Chief Executive of Ashaiman Ibrahim Baidoo, has been attacked and shot in the eye by some armed robbers Wednesday evening.

Hon. Baidoo who survived the attack is currently receiving treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The incident is reported to have occurred at his residence in Tema Community 22.

Information gathered by Starr News indicates that Mr. Baidoo, was returning home from a meeting in Tema involving some N.D.C party representatives and some activists from 5 constituencies including Ashiaman and Katamanso.

According to Starr News sources, the robbers targeted his head but unfortunately the bullet missed his head and rather hit his eye leaving him with gory bullet wounds.

The robbers also made away with his new blue-black Chrysler with registration number GN 2015 – 16.

Meanwhile, the Tema Regional Police Command has launched investigations into the robbery attack on the former M.C.E.

A statement from the Public Relations Officer ASP Juliana Obeng stated that the suspects, three armed men were on a motor bike with locally made pistols.

The Tema Police Command is also appealing to the General public to furnish the command with accurate timely information that will lead to the arrest of these suspects.
