Speaker to rule on bribery scandal Friday

The Speaker of Parliament is expected to bring finality to the corruption allegation against the Appointments Committee on Friday, April 7.

This is according to the leadership of parliament; Majority Leader Osei Kye Mensah Bonsu and Minority Leader Haruna Iddrissu.

The Speaker was supposed to deliver the ruling last Friday but adjourned indefinitely.

Majority Leader Osei, Kyei Mensah Bonsu told Samuel Eshun on the Gold Power Drive Thursday the Second Deputy Speaker, Alban Bagbin, has been assigned to deal with some issues surrounding the allegation.

For his part, the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, also said the House is still consulting on the matter.

The citizenry is awaiting the ruling on the Mahama Ayariga and Boakye Agyarko bribery allegation which was quashed by the Joe Ghartey Committee.
