NDC Regional Secretary Condemns Tony Aidoo

The Brong Ahafo Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress Emmanuel Kwaku Doku has condemned the recent derogatory remarks made by a leading member of the party Dr. Tony Aidoo against president Kuffour.

Mr Doku dissociated the party from the utterances, saying the presidency irrespective of the political party in power has to be accorded all the respect and decorum.

He also said that the way and manner some NPP activists insult the former President J.J Rawlings whenever he expresses his views on national issues must be discouraged. He said after Professor J. E.A Mill’s recent press conference on the state of the nation address, a leading member of NPP and MP for Assin Fosu Hon. Ken Agyapong used insulting language against the former president.

Mr. Doku, however, expressed disappointment at the silence of the government over the honourable member’s outburst.
