My Toyota Landcruiser V8 has not been seized – Kwesi Pratt

Managing Editor of The Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has dismissed rumours that his Toyota Landcruiser V8 vehicle has been seized by the National Taskforce retrieving state cars in possession of private individuals.

News went viral on social media on Monday that the Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, aka ‘Abronye DC’ who has led such operations, has led members of the Taskforce to Mr Pratt’s house to retrieve a car alleged to belong to the state.

A person whose identity cannot be immediately established using a Facebook account name, Adwoa Sarfo Kantaka, published the rumour.

But reacting to the report on Peace FM Tuesday, Mr Pratt said his Toyota Landcruiser V8 car has not been confiscated, adding that he’s not had any persons visiting his house on such a mission.

“My Landcruiser has not been seized by anyone, I don’t know and has never set eyes on Abronye. Furthermore, the Landcruiser they are talking about is black in colour, but mine is not black. What is strange is that no one knows the person behind this allegation, and his/her motive for putting this in the public domain is not clear.

What is the purpose…I want to know, is the person doing this to make the government unpopular? or the mischief is targeted at me, this is unnecessary as the story is false. Why is the person using someone’s name on facebook to perpetuate this mischief.”
