Police officer’s daughter 14, killed by fire at Dunkwa-Offin

A 14-year old daughter of a police officer, Benita Attechem has been burnt beyond recognition at Dunkwa-Attechem police barracks in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central Region.

Benita, a class six student, was killed in the early hours of Monday morning around 1:00am in blazing fire that engulf a room in which she and the mother were sleeping.

However, the mother of the victim who escaped death collapsed following the horrific demise her daughter and was admitted at the Dunkwa Government Hospital.

The father of the victim was not in town when the incident happened.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Dunkwa Government hospital Morgue whilst investigations continue.
