It’s ‘witchcraft’ to oppose Free SHS – NDC’s Asemfofro

Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who are kicking against the Free Senior High School programme introduced by the Akufo-Addo-led government have an evil mentality because they are not in favour of a bright future for less-privileged Ghanaians, Osei Yaw Nketia, popularly known as Dr Asemforo, a member of the NDC, has said.

According to him, most of the members of the NDC kicking against the Free SHS policy are those who benefited from similar programmes years past and by virtue of that are occupying higher positions in the country, therefore, kicking against the policy now smacks of evil and witchcraft.

Speaking in an interview with Accra News on Friday March 31, Asemfofro said: “I am not a member of the NPP, everybody knows I am a member of the NDC, but I want to say that the decision taken by President Akufo-Addo to introduce the Free SHS in Ghana is a good step that will help all Ghanaians, irrespective of your financial health.”

“I will want to urge Nana Akufo-Addo not to be distracted by the noise being made by some members of the NDC. Rather, he should be focused and implement his policies that will help our children in the future. Those who are kicking against the Free SHS are witches and demons because they benefited from Free SHS years ago and by virtue of that are occupying respectable positions in the country but do not want their fellow Ghanaians to also enjoy from same programme.

“I pray that the country does not experience a government of the NDC anytime soon because they do not have good intentions for the country.”
