Party executives behind Delta Force assault – NPP Communicator

A member of the Eastern Regional Communications team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Francis Anom popularly known as Fransoa has revealed that some executives of the NPP in the Ashanti Region might be behind the actions of the vigilante group called Delta Force.

The group on Friday, March 24, attacked the newly appointed Regional Security Coordinator Mr. George Adjei at the premises of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) on the basis that he is not a native of the region and did not play any part in the 2016 electoral campaign in the region.

The organizer of the group Kwadwo Bamba who led the attack was later arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police Command and released on Monday, March 27.

Speaking as one of the panelists on Hot93.9fm’s morning show ‘Maakye’, Fransoa stated that he believes some party executives are behind the recent attack by the Delta Force.

Specifically mentioning the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP Bernard Antwi Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi, Fransoa said “I believe some executives of the party, Chairman Wontumi is behind this because if not, then why has he (Wontumi) not come out to condemn what the group did”.

Meanwhile, he has urged President Akufo- Addo not to succumb to pressure by changing the newly appointed Regional Security Coordinator, Mr. George Adjei.

“President Akufo- Addo should not give in to pressure by changing George Adjei because if he does, then attacks like this will continue when someone disagrees with him on his appointments”.
