NDC can’t take instructions from retired Kwabena Adjei – Azorka

Sofo Azorka, the Northern regional Chairman of the NDC says the party cannot submit to the orders of the immediate past National Chairman of the party, Dr. Kwabena Adjei because he is not at the helm of affairs anymore.

“A retired officer cannot command the Army. It can’t work that way. An officer in the service can command the officers but not the retired officer.

Kwabena Adjei has taken a bow and must make sure he’ll rest as he’s retired.”

The former Chairman of the party, Dr Kwabena Adjei is convinced that one of the major factors that led to President John Mahama losing the 2016 elections was the fact that he didn’t listen to the wise counsel of senior party members.

According to him, the former President surrounded himself with young handlers who were inexperienced, a situation that worked against Mr Mahama’s success.

But Azorka in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Programme said that the rantings of Kwabena Adjei are unnecessary since he’s old and weak, and as such must be on the sidelines to watch the young ones sprout into leadership.

“I’m urging the young one’s not to lose hope. they are the future of the party, and so they should not sit down for retiring officers to come and say they can organize the party. No! So far as he’s a retired officer, he should rest. The young guys will come and pick up and the party will grow.”
