NIB releases NPP’s Adenta Kumi

The National Investigations Bureau (NIB) has released New Patriotic Party(NPP) member, Alfred Ababio Kumi, popularly known as Adenta Kumi, has been released from its custody.

Mr. was arrested on Friday dawn by NIB operatives, an action strongly condemned by the NPP.

Kumi’s arrest was linked to a petition he submitted to President John Mahama, calling for the committee probing the possible removal of the Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo to be dissolved.

He cited alleged misconduct by some members of the committee which he claimed, could compromise the credibility of their inquiry.

He, has, however been charged with publication of false news.
