Boso Sec/Tech gets block of classrooms

Accra, March 2, GNA – The Japan Ambassador to Ghana, Mrs Kazuko Asai, at the week commissioned a block of six classrooms for Boso Secondary/Technical School in the Eastern Region. The project, which cost 54,296 dollars, was funded by the Government of Japan under the Grant Assistance for Humanitarian Security Project (GGHSP) scheme.

Mrs Asai said the Japanese Government had also financed 26 such projects in the country since 1989, because it placed much importance on capacity-building in the development of nations such as Ghana.

She said the government of Japan was ready to assist in the execution of projects geared towards providing employable skills to the unemployed in the country.

Mrs Asai commended Ms Yoko Saijo, a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer, for her contribution to the development of education in the Boso community.
