Two NDC Executives arrested for defrauding fishermen

Two executives of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region will next week be arraigned before court for allegedly defrauding fishermen in the area.

The constituency chairman Gideon Konibah and his deputy scribe Augustine Ofori Andoh are alleged to have taken various sums from the fishermen under the guise of providing them with outboard motors.

The two were arrested after an official complaint was lodged by the chief fishermen Emmanuel Odwiri and during a party meeting at at Agona Nkwanta, in the Ahanta West District of the Central region they were picked up.

Both are opting for an out of court settlement promising to refund either refund monies of victims or give the outboard motors as promised.
