PLAYBACK: NEWSFILE on JoyNews (11-3-2017)

This week’s edition of JoyNew’s current affairs programme, NewsFile, focused on the several trendy political and socio-economic issues in Ghana today.

Guests of the show shared their perspectives on topics that bothered on the President’s nomination of Metropolitan Chief Executives for some regions in Ghana as well as the aftermath of Ghana’s 60th Independence Day celebration.

Also, the arrest and prosecution of members of the ‘separatist’ group campaigning for the secession of the Volta Region as an Independent State featured in this week’s discussions as well as the 60-year journey of Ghana since independence.

Finally, a debate by Members of Parliament on the budget presentation by Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta with a look also at the several suicide incidents recorded in Ghana in the past few weeks also dominated discussions this weekend.
