Osei Assibey-Antwi was Deputy Minister for the Ashanti Region under President John Agyekum Kuffour in the erstwhile government of the New Patriotic Party.
Osei Asibey was the first Vice chairman of the ruling New Patriotic in the Ashanti region before President Kuffour nominated him as Deputy Minister.
He is said to be very influential in the region.
