Parliament to vet deputy ministers next week

Ten Deputy Regional Ministers nominated by President Nana Akufo-Addo would start appearing before Parliament’s Appointments Committee from March 14.

Ranking member of the committee and Minority Leader, Haruna Iddirisu announced it during a media encounter with the parliamentary press corps on Tuesday.

The Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Ocquaye, presented the list of Deputy Regional Ministers on Wednesday, March 1. According to the Minority Leader, even though the Chairman of the appointments committee, Joe Osei Owusu is out of the country, they hope to begin the vetting after further consultations with the Majority Leader.
