Don’t belittle anyone who helped Ghana to achieve Independence – Dr. Asibey Yeboah

The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Dr. Mark Asibey Yeboah has said the hypothesis which seems to suggest that, independence was single handedly achieved by Ghana’s First President Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, is flawed.

According to the Law maker, independence was collectively achieved by many people including the big six and others who are not even recognized, therefore efforts of all those who helped to achieve independence should not be belittled as some sought to do.

Dr. Asibey Yeboah maintained that, founder’s Day celebration which is centered on one person is imperfect.

The law maker said this in an interview with Kasapa News in Koforidua.

He also reechoed President Nana Akufo Addo led-government’s commitment to protecting the environment to ensure sustainable development.

Dr. Asibey Yeboah called for the need to as a nation have a second look at the use of plastics in the country with suggestion to find alternate degradable materials for packaging of products so that, the environment is not polluted.
