Farmer shot dead during clash at Yawkorkor

Charles Amoako, a 23 year old farmer of Yawkokor near Teacher Mante on the Suhum-Nsawam Highway, was shot dead during a clash between some sand winners and the people of Yawkokor on Friday.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dandy Zah, the Nsawam District Police Commander, said 12 suspects had been arrested while six others who sustained injuries are responding to treatment at the Nsawam Government Hospital.

DSP Zah said the body of the deceased, popularly known as Kwabina Kitiwa, had been sent to the Police Hospital morgue for autopsy while police investigations continue.
