High tariffs killing Aggrey Memorial SHS – Headmaster

Authorities at the Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion Senior High School (SHS) in the Central Region are calling on government to move in to address some critical challenges hindering the effective delivery of education at the school.

Speaking during the school’s 77th speech and prize giving day celebrations in Cape Coast, the headmaster of the school Rev. Franklin Boadu explained that the challenges range from high tariffs, encroachment of their lands to inadequate accommodation for both students and staff.

According to him, the school spend a larger chunk of fees charged on utilities leaving little for administrative works.

Ultimate news’ Baah Acheamfuor reported that the headmaster further complained of inadequate classroom blocks and accommodation for the staff which creates a lot of inconveniences for both students and staff with projects.

Rev. Boadu called on government to come to their aid with more facilities to address the challenges impeding the teaching and learning in the school.
