PNC, PPP, CPP in merger talks – Bernard Mornah

Chairman of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah has revealed that his party is in discussions with the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) and the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) to merge into single, stronger third force party in Ghanaian politics

Speaking exclusively to GhanaWeb, Bernard Mornah noted that a united front formed by the Nkrumahist parties will loosen the dominance of NDC and NPP in Ghanaian political space.

‘We have already initiated process in talking with the Progressives People’s Party; I think they are serious about mobilizing like mind people so we have a united front. We are also talking to the Convention People’s Party, Bernard Mornah noted.

Meanwhile several report about the merger of Nkrumahist parties failed.

In 2016, Convention People’s Party (CPP), an Nkrumahist party failed to merge with its ideological ally – People’s National Convention (PNC), ahead of the 2016 general elections.
