NPA boss visits Ashiaman fire victims

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority, Hassan Tampuli on Monday visited victims of the Ashiaman fire outbreak which left three people injured.

The victims include a driver and two driver’s mates.

They are currently at the Tema General Hospital and New Crystal Hospital where they are recuperating.

A journalist, Emmanuel, who was with the NPA boss during the visit told Kasapafmonline.com that Mr Hassan Tampuli has part demanded to see all the relevant documents of the owner of the fuel taker yard which allows him to operate.

Sunday afternoon’s fire which occurred at a petrol tanker parking yard, near the timber market left fourteen tankers totally burnt.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service, Billy Anaglate in an interview with Kasapa News said his outfit suspects siphoning of fuel to be the cause of the fire.

It eventually took the fire fighters five hours to dowse the fire.
